Marketing Collateral for Tradeshows

My company, JMV Media Group, was hired by the Italian Trade Agency in Miami to manage the production of marketing collateral to be dispersed from their booth at tradeshows in Miami and New York.

This work involved preparing the marketing collateral that would be dispersed at Hotel Experience (HX) and Boutique Design New York (BDNY), the leading trade fairs and conferences for hospitality’s boutique and lifestyle design community and The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), recognized as the largest in-water boat show in the world.  To complete this work on time and on budget, which I did, I had to do the following.

  • Source and manage a senior graphic designer who had ample experience with designing brochures for tradeshows and understood their specifications. Then, I had to oversee his work and traffic it back and forth between him, myself and the internal manager at the ITA to ensure it also adhered to the ITA’s brand guidelines and specs.
  • Source and manage a production vendor to print the materials and do an on-site check to ensure they were of the superior quality expected by the ITA.
  • Source and manage a vendor for promotional items, survey their portfolio and make suggestions to the ITA on high quality products that would be original, functional and would increase their brand awareness.
  • Work with the tradeshow producers and a shipping vendor to ensure the materials were delivered on time and in exact adherence with the detailed delivery guidelines for each tradeshow.
