The Uffiizi Gallery, located in Florence, Italy, is one of the world’s most significant museums. I provided marketing and communications services to the Friends of the Uffizi Gallery, the US-based sister organization to Amici degli Uffizi. These organizations raise money for restorations of beloved works of art housed at the museum.

The work I did included the following.

• Creation of a new WordPress website, including transferring their domain and info from the provider in Italy to the US
• Publicity for the organization, including writing and distributing press releases, direct pitches and building relationships with arts journalists
• Creating graphics for various events, including fundraising events
• Creating a Contemporaries group to target a new demographic donor base of young professionals
• Launching and managing their social media channels
• Designing, writing and sending their monthly eNews
• Writing articles about the organization and the exhibits they organized in the US
• Organizing events with local cultural sites, including the Norton Museum of Art
