Ferragosto is the traditional summer holiday in Italy, which happens on August 15th. On this day, most Italians head to the beach with picnic baskets and spend the day eating, playing and relexing with family and friends. I wanted to bring this event to South Florida, so I approached my friend Anthony whose family owned Gino’s market, which closed during covid lockdown, and together we approached the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and asked if they’d like to be the beneficiary. Attendees spent the day with us enjoying amazing Italian food, entertainment and made lasting memories. These were among my most favorite events that I produced!
